Prozack Turner. Bang Athon.


Este rapero que formó parte del grupo de hip hop aclamado críticamente "Foreign Legion", se lanza hoy con su primer album solo en un sello independiente Hungerstrike Records. Originalmente de Dreamworks records (en el 2002), Turner trabajó con Pete Rock, Madlib, Organized Noize, The Alchemist y Jay Dilla, y otros, para crear un gran trabajo llamado "Death Taxes and Prozack". Turner creó su propio sello, Hungerstrike y bajo este, después de un largo trabajo nace "Bangathon!". La energía en"Bangathon!" es feroz e infecciosa. Produciendo dos de de las composiciones musicales el mismo, y trabajando conproductores tales como Jake One (De La Soul, G-Unit, Mf Doom), Oh No (stones Throw Records), y Paul Nice (Beastie Boys, BViz Makie, Masta Ace), Prozack ata las pistas con líricas de dolor, pasión y humor, contando historias. Desde soul clásico, a rock clásico, este album cumple con todas las tentativas.

Jazzhole - poet`s walk


Es una banda de R&B, Down-tempo, Nu-Jazz originaria de New York, formada en 1994. Se compone de Marlon Saunders (vocalista), John Pondel (guitarrista), y Warren Rosenstein (Productor / tecladista), quienes son los miembros fundadores dela banda.El resto del grupo está formado por Dave Innis (bajista), Mark Robohm (baterista), Daniel Sadownick y Peter Marck (percusionistas), Dave Binney (saxofonista). En "Poet's Walk" encontramos apariciones especiales de David Sancious(tecladista) y Michael Cohen (vocalista).

Esta banda se ve influenciada por Al Green, Curtis Mayfield, Me'shell Ndegéocello, Maxwell, Earth, Wind and Fire."Poet's Walk" es su 5to trabajo de estudio, donde incorporan el downtempo, R&B acústico, con toque de bossa nova.Otras previas producciones de Jazz Hole son: "Circle of the Sun", "Blackburst", "...and the feeling goes sound".
